Due to anonymity reasons, we can't have our face as our profile pic. I was wondering tonight about all the different pics I have seen on this Forum and the story behind them.
Some of you like me have animals. Maybe they are your pets. Others have inspirational sayings. There are ones with scenes on them and others that feature flowers or abstract designs.
My pic stems from my fascination with jellyfish. I love going to those huge aquarium places and watching the jellyfish. They are so serene and beautiful and make me feel calm. If I lived in a town that had a jellyfish display, I'd be there every week. Sometimes I watch videos of them. I use the good feelings I get from seeing them to lift my mood so each time I am on the Forum I am reminded of the beauty in the world and the peacefulness of their movements.
I hope you enjoy my pic half as much as I do.
I'll tag some people to encourage them to share their story. Please tag others so we can all participate easily.

Tasmania is a beautiful place @Ant7. I holidayed there when I was a teenager. I’d love to go back one day. They have a cool art gallery. I went in Summer. Could be quite cold in Winter. Brrrrrrr!
Thanks for sharing that.

The Red-faced Parrot-Finch (from New Caledonia) is about my all-time favourite Finch - so colourful, bright, & very active.
They have a beautiful trill. I've had several pairs of them over the years, but have none at the moment.
A beautiful finch with great character, about the size of a Canary.

@soul great idea for a thread!
I get curious myself about people's avatars..
I'm actually up late tonight cramming for a test tomorrow (the one I nearly did 2 weeks back but didnt need to)
My avatar is of Obi Wan Kenobi (Old Ben) from Star Wars episode 4. Before this I think I remember having Wilhuff Tarkin (Grand Moff) who ran the Death Star in the same movie. Needless to say I love star wars and everything about it. Not only does it take me back to childhood, but it's also a really great story. It's filled with archetypes of many different genres and is often called a Space Opera or "Western set in space". I guess I just chose characters from the movies that I really liked. My next character will likely be Yoda.
I like Obi Wan because of his wisdom and his power along with humility. If you know the movies then you know the story so I don't want to spoil it. Put simply, he's been around a long time. Tarkin was the only character that Darth Vader respected, so you know he must be boss. Yoda is THE Jedi Master.
Great thread idea @soul

Did you have an aviary @Adge? We had finches in an aviary outside that my Dad built when we were growing up. My mother bred canaries and sold them but those cages were in the house in the enclosed veranda area.
I currently have just one budgie. @lapses has little finches and parrots.

I need to change my avatar. I picked it a night where I was struggling and felt like I was alone just like the tree is alone next to the lake. It is has no colour to show the darkness I feel 😥
That is soooo depressing.
OK - so in the next 24 hours it is my mission to find an uplifting, inspiring avatar and post on here again 😀😀😀😀
