year 12 is hard enough without this virus now affecting their schooling. It's going to be a tough year. Wishing him well. 
I'm sure you must miss him so much. But at least you know where he is and I'm sure your mum spoils him.

with mum having a staf infection in her arm wound 

but we did do some trimming in the garden today which is good 

and now deciding something easy for dinner
