Good evening @Ru-bee @Gwynn @tyme @Eve7 @ShiningStar and other fellow knitters.  I hope your day has gone well for you and you are happy with your knitting and craft hobbies.

@Ru-bee I have found a photo of the cable scarf that I knitted for my housemates mother. It was knitted on 6mm needles using 2 strands of 8ply Bendigo Woollen Mills wool in Luxury brand with the colour called Koala. It was meant to be chunky wool according to a pattern I found from a British craft website called Love Crafts so I doubled the wool to make it like they had in the original pattern. It’s an 8 row pattern using 43 stitches per row and 3 lots of cables over the 43 stitches. The scarf was just over 2m long and took 4 balls in total (2 balls together at a time) and the reason why it took so long was because I kept on losing the wool when I had to move or the wool got damaged and I had to start over. It required a lot of concentration and I had to pick the times when I could do it as my housemate loved to chat and it was very hard to focus, especially since the cable needle had to often go behind the knitting needles and I had to manipulate my hands to hold the stitches. It’s a great pattern and my first time at doing cables so I was quite proud of it to the point where my housemates mother wants me to do another one for her in the future -once I get stable housing again as I have to move by the start of December due to my rogue landlord moving back in (long and complicated story!).

Tonight, I’m working on completing an adult beanie in a cotton type yarn that I found in my collection for a charity I knit for. I’ll post it once I complete it.

Thanks for replying to my message!

Take care!
