My favourite bed sheets are deep purple, so I'm very often sleeping on that colour.
I also like lavender, for its perfume and calmative qualities.
Prompting myself about purple on Google, I read that purple is occurs rarely in nature and so is often viewed as rare and intriguing. But I know that it occurs a fair bit in flowers. I guess it's not a dominant colour in nature though, which is more green (plants/trees), brown (earth) and blue (sky).
Scientifically, purple is the colour with the strongest electromagnetic wavelength, being just a few wavelengths up from x-rays and gamma rays.
A recent mystery in Brisbane are the oranges that turned purple overnight.
An earth crystal I like is amethyst, though I have no purple jewellery. But I have worn purple clothes quite a lot over time and it's usually in my wardrobe, at least in splashes.
Purple speaks in some way to me of the night, which I love.

I had never been much of a collector of things until I started purple. There is something behind purple for me although it has been my fave colour for a long time. I wasn’t a full on collector of purple things until the Big Bang. It became a kind of comfort thing and a way of identifying myself as someone separate from my ex. I guess it’s the only thing that I’ve managed to hold onto for 7 years now that feels like a part of my identity.
