What's happening in November 2021?
πTopic Tuesday
9th November: Art and Creativity
In our next Topic Tuesday, we will talking about Art and Creativity here on the forums. We have a strong arts community here in the forums, and we excited to invite you all to share your passion for creativity as an important part of wellbeing. Keep an eye out early next week for more information.
23rd November: Let's talk about alcohol
This month we will be talking about alcohol use, and exploring when alcohol use starts to lead to addiction or dependence. Join us to talk about alcohol use and minimisation strategies, and the role of peer support.
Movember Men's Health: Month Long Discussion
November is the start of Movember; a men's health campaign that focuses on key health issues that impact men. This month, we will be doing a month long discussion with a new question every Monday. Join us to talk about Men's Health.
Trans Men's Health Discussion:
Following on from our discussion for Movember, we will also be leading a discussion about Trans Men's health here on the forums. Keep an eye out for this discussion next week.
Effective Communication Workshop: Month Long Discussion
Effective Communication can be a core skill for recovery. It provides us with the ability to communicate and advocate for our needs with friends, family and service providers, and can help us to from strong connections and friendships.
Each Friday we will be sharing a tool for effective communication we can try as a community. We invite you to join us and share your experiences in building effective communication skills.
Living with loneliness
Over the last month, we have been seeing more people talking about living with loneliness. We will be talking about loneliness, the impact on our lives, and how we can find meaningful connections and friendships here on the forums. Join us on the 22nd of November for the start of this discussion.
