@Maggie @Former-Member and any interested, here's my show and tell today. I'll varnish it tomorrow so it will be shiny then but here it is for now. I challenged myself to use toothpicks and skewers. I need practice but it was good to try.
And here's one I did recently. All metallic ๐
They are so much fun to play with and so calming to do (when they don't annoy the :pile_of_poo: out of me haha!)
@Former-Member very cool to pick up some knitting. I got myself very tangled trying knitting. That looks very tricky! Hope you enjoy making it.

Not difficult at all, is stocking stitch, the chenille look comes from the wool used.

Oh wow, I mean wow @CheerBear they are stunning. I love the colours, and the dots are perfect. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
I can post a demo of the spiral if you would like. Itโs very easy once you know how, like most things. I donโt want to be pushy though, or sound like a know all, cos I know very little. ๐ฉ๐ฉ

She has a Facebook page @CheerBear . She lost her husband to cancer, thatโs how she started dotting. Itโs an amazing art, for all sorts of reasons. She has bird boxes, and sells her stones. She has a rooster demo, which I would like to try. Looking for a stencil.
I sat with that pattern when I was teaching my ladies. I worked for a day figuring it out, then my lady changed her mind. I wish I had this demo back then. Oh well.

@CheerBear ... wow ... you've done so well. Looks pretty perfect to me. ๐ I particularly love the metalic looking one I think ... something about the autumn/metalic colouring in it. Very impressive you pair of dotters I must say @CheerBear @Maggie ๐
@Former-Member ... the jumper looks great, and I'm sure it will look fab once you get it done. Picture please ๐
I used to do some knitting when I was younger, but always preferred crochet. I did quite a bit of crochet, up until I got married really. Now I never seem to find the time. Really should try to track down my hooks and give it another go. Havent seen them since we moved up here 11 years ago though .. probably best to buy new ones.
