I have a stack of magazines I want to get rid of so I'm going through those now. It's been good to see what I've done so far, as I've not seen it for a while.

I don't have a particular theme for my book, but it's more a collection of things that are super important to me. There are some themes within though, like the sea, so I use pictures that represent the sea. And I've collected sand from a couple of favourite beaches.
Another page is the colour purple, and I've pressed some lavender there as well. So it's a mix of magazine cut outs, textures and my writing as well.
Does that help little? It's whatever represents staying alive for. And sometimes it's the smallest things. @outlander

Yup thats how mine goes too. Nothings set in stone more just what means 'something' to me whether thats a form a coping or reasons to live etc.
I dont have magazines but i might have to get some as moat of my stuff is written or coloured by hand other than some purple items and a few leaves and a flower.
Tonight i just need something simple so im making a 'crochet page' with some yarn, colouring and a heart. If i can ever get the shape of the heart right lol. Crochet has become a huge help in the way i cope and in turn helping with making life a little easier.

That sounds like a great page lil Sis. I've picked up magazines from op shops for as little as 20c.
I've got quotes out of mags, it's whatever speaks to you. Then I put it together in some way.
I'm using a sketch book as the paper is nice and thick, and it is spiral bound making it easy to add a little bulk in the pages.
