🗓SANE events in December:
As we count down to the end of the year, there’s a lot happening in the forums and opportunities to get involved. Whether Topic Tuesday’s or Live Peer Support Chats are your thing, or you prefer to get involved in discussions threads in the forum, check out our December events calendar below or visit What's happening on the forums in December 2021 🗓
🔦 Spotlight on:
In November, we celebrated Movember and the health and wellbeing of our members who identify as men and trans men.
We heard from the community that isolation and loneliness were experiences so many of us were having. We started a discussion about living with loneliness where members of our community could connect with each other and share their experiences of loneliness
SANE also led a deep dive into effective communication, exploring verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as active listening, assertive communication, emotion regulation and empathy – well worth the read!
SANE hosted two Topic Tuesday’s in November. We kicked things off with a discussion on the role of art and creativity in our lives, with special guest and peer support worker @periwinklepixie.

🎊 SANE news:
In December we’ll be leading a week long discussion in the Lived Experience forum on living with disability where we’ll be honouring and celebrating the vital and invaluable contributions people with disability make to our communities. International Day of People with Disability 2021: Week Long Discussion
We’ll also be celebrating:
As well as running Topic Tuesday’s on coping with holidays and the end of the year (21 Dec) and Finding community: Feeling belonging and connection (7 Dec)
🌸 Quote of the month:
