Hi everyone ....
Too early here in the west for dinner just yet .... but we're having .... wait for it .... Mexican ❣😊
My baby dragons have really taken to it, AND it's something healthy 😳 .... look at that .... in the same sentence and everything .... 😯 !!
💐 ..... So sorry to hear you are feeling low @Former-Member ..... and it is really hard .... but the kids need to know that you will cope because it will help them to cope .... so I am hoping it will help you to find strength if you can shift the focus to being strong for them .... ?
Being strong doesn't mean being super-human .... it can simply mean writing up a plan to get through the day and moving from stepping-stone to stepping stone, then ticking off that day in the knowledge that they are one day closer to being back at home with you .....
Maybe some props will help, like putting stickers on the squares in a calendar, especially if the kids choose the stickers for you, and see them all up on the calendar when they get home ....
And can you mark out a "critical path" through the things you need to do, just paring it down to the simplest of things, and placing a marble in a jar for each one achieved ? Kids benefit from physical / visual props, and we can forget the effectiveness of using them for ourselves as adults .....
I hope that helps. You have been in my mind a lot .... walking with you in spirit .... 💙💕
@Jacques 💚🍏
What's happenin' bro .... ? You were so full of beans with the renno work you were doing ....it sounded amazing .... did it help to be so physically occupied ..... ?
I think my hubby is "self-medicating" something with all his diet-exercise regime .... but at the heart of it is a truth .... keeping busy is good for us when it's not over-done ..... are you getting out and walking sometimes ? Is there someone who can come with you to help motivate you ?
Please to someone - therapist, doctor, psych - about the sh .... help you get off that page ..... worried about you .... 😔

@Former-Member therapy can take some time. I think a lot of the work happens outside of therapy where we start to integrate the things discussed in our sessions in our everyday lives. Did I read somewhere that you shared with others at work that you have a MI?
@BlueBay being understaffed at work is no fun. Take some time out tonight to get some good rest. When you're tired, it's even more hard to stay in control of anxiety. So be sure to care for you. Hope your session goes ok tomorrow.
@Shaz51, how you doing? What are your plans this weekend?
