It is so heart breaking to try to help 2 people daily of SI and SH, such beautiful people who are worthy of being alive and happy, i try my hardest to help and they are mindful i am struggling too, one girls story is so heart breaking, i wish i could tell her story but it would violate the rules, so i will not.
we are getting to around 5-6 degrees of a night, it is unusually warm for this time of year, we are usually into the -2 to -5 by now, how is it in the blue mountians? is it snowing yet?
Yes, i love curling up with my hot water bottle, doona and sleeping bag. it is so cosy.
Yes, so sad to see the news 😞 it makes me so down to see how cruel and hate filled people are, being abused when i was a child it does not shock me, but it is a shame people can't allow others to live their lives.
I hate the news, but feel compelled to watch it, i just need to know, but at the same time it pushes me to turn away from society and away from humanity. sometimes i am so glad i am Agrophobic, i can avoid people and be safe in my own home.

@mrkotter still, I'm impressed with your efforts to get something fast and healthy! I don't know about you, but the winter time makes me crave comfort food - rich and quite unhealthy food.
@BlueBay ain't nothing wrong with maccas here and there!
Hi @Former-Member and @Jacques terrible stuff we're seeing in the news. Though, remember the news tends to tell stories that will sell. For the news, it seems the more tragic or conflictual a story is, the more is will be amplified in the airwaves. With all the tragedy, I find a balance is needed. Switching the news off, going out into the world and seeing that there is beauty out there.
@eth This weekend is the Blue Mountains Winter Festival - the winter solstice is this week! Hooray, looking forward to longer days! Will email you about accessing the updates thread.
@Jacques it's not too called yet. Apparently the snow happens in July... eeep! I'll be sure to post pics. The other morning though the grass was crunchy as I walked on it - frozen cold!

Tonight I have chicken soup that my friend bought over for me last night. She hounded me when I didn't reply. Grateful to have a friend bring soup when unwell💜

@Former-Member friends that bring over soup are wonderful. Was it homemade? - Not that I'd complain. I had a friend bring over canned soup when I was unwell, and was so grateful. It's when you're sick that it's hard to cook, yet alone to get down to the shops.
Mmmm, I love the addition of garlic bread @Former-Member.
What are you up to this weekend? Can you believe the winter soltice is nearly here. Winter is half-way!
