It was peaceful and beautiful @Bentpole-01 ..... and it was very hard to give it up, along with a whole bunch of other things ...... but a specialist advised us to move interstate for the mental health of one of our adult kids ..... long convoluted story on the Carer side of the forums, because sitting behind the mental health of Son2 and other at-home adult kids is an unwell husband and father who doesn’t know he is unwell ......
Silver linings have come into play, and some of the adult kids are now at uni with me studying art ...... and I will have to paint my garden. I have taken lots of photos to do just that.
Leaving all the material things I held dear will be worth it if I can get my big dragon and baby dragons well again, and not lose my own mental health on the rollercoaster that is still our life .....
So glad you and your partner have found the positive solace and distraction that gardening can provide. I had many happy hours with our kids building a veggie garden. It’s so good for them, us, and family in general. My hubby missed all that ...lost i
in workaholism ...... go treasure it abd enjoy being in that moment amongst the beautiful smell of fresh earth and growing things ❣️

Hi @Faith-and-Hope ,
Thank you for your life insight, I'm glad that you can paint your garden. My not creative with pen and paper but I'm finding that I'm creative with gardening. I never thought I'd be that interested but I'm loving it.

Hey,
So our gardening is pretty full on at the moment. My partner has a veggie seedlings garden going with about 8 different things, I just finished doing a 3m x 1m garden bed out the front to match the other one. It's got wooden pine edging with cypress red mulch, made up of a cordyline, two legend plants and a yakka.
It's hot and hard work in the sun.

So I've found an awesome app for gardening. It's called garden tags. It's like Instagram but for gardeners. Follow people, tips about your garden and plants. Like posts and meet like minded people.
