How does it feel and what do you think when you do physical activity? Do you notice an impact on your mental health?
I feel a lot more grounded and present in my body - being immersed in physical activity like a sport can also take me away from the stresses of my life, and it feels good to only be just thinking about moving my body/playing a game and nothing else in the world.

@Peregrinefalcon @Daisydreamer - I suffer from a heart condition and I'm currently waiting for my heart op which is on the 30th of July.
Having a disability doesn't help, I find that if I have a really bad mental health day it stops me from doing what I want to do.
anxitey can stop me from doing some physical activity

@Daisydreamer wrote:Question 4: For @Peregrinefalcon and the community:
Are there barriers or limitations to physical activity that you notice, and what are they?
I think self belief can be a barrier too. If you don't think you can do it, you are more likely not to.

Thanks a lot Shaz, this topic is much needed and interesting to see the mood and different views /impacts from covid also. Deffinitely lost a great deal of my motivation with this happening also Not such a bad thing that i don't do pilates anymore, Bike riding and hikes i know I'll get there again in my own time!
I'm really glad i decided to attend tonight and have a feeling i will try and make it to more discussions in the future. This has given me some perspective on things i never really took time to look at and spend time working through.
Take care everyone

Physical activity can be in the things we are already doing and enjoy, like walking to see the sunset as you have mentioned, or activities like gardening. Starting small and building up can help with motivation-- good point @Daisydreamer , @bipolarbunny
ohh hugs @Fluttershy1 , will be thinking of you xx
having kidney disease stage 4 with only one kidney , diabetes and arthritis doea not help @Peregrinefalcon

I want to know how to take first steps into physical activity from next to nothing. Even if it's just walking. How do I get myself off the couch and out the door? I guess I need some sort of a plan
