Question 1 Who is LWB? What do LWB do?
Life Without Barriers ( commomnly referred to as LWB are a leading social purpose organisation working in more than over 440 communities across Australia. Our services currently support around 23 000 people living in their own homes or in residential houses that we manage. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers.

Hi & Welcome @SandeeLWB
What kind of NDIS supports do you find typically funded for mental illness?
I have just recently received my first plan and it seems like it was tailored more for some one with autism than someone with bipolar & cptsd.
I find that the majority of funds in my plan are completely useless and things I need funding for are not allowed. So there's a bucket of money sitting there in my plan that will never be used. It's so frustrating and confusing.

NDIS provides funding for Support Services (it is Not an Income Stream) @Shaz51
DSP is a Pension $ Income Stream.

I have Bipolar and BPD, I live at home with my husband and 2 adult children. Is LWB a good place to turn to to get help to prepare my next review for NDIS? I tried to do it alone this year and it ended up disastrous. I lost a bunch of funding and because of the covid lockdown the interview was over the phone and I felt as though the other person wasn't listening to me.
