Re: Topic Tuesday // Life After Bushfires // Tues 19th January, 7:00-8:30PM AEDT

Feeling invisible, forgotten and abandoned must be really hard on top of everything else. I'm sorry @JLD & @Klutz . Know that we hear you & we care. We haven't forgotten ❤️

Welcome @Shaz51! Glad you've been able to make it. The latest question is around the impact of Covid on communities also affected by bushfires 😊

Re: Topic Tuesday // Life After Bushfires // Tues 19th January, 7:00-8:30PM AEDT

The impact of covid has been up and down. Covid itself has not impacted our community other then shipping delays but it definitely impacted (the fire effected part of the community) because now everyone feels like they're on par with our struggles so we are often dismissed. It's extremely frustrating as it's like, guys you have an actual roof over your head with multiple bedrooms to hid out in in isolation, my family of four is sharing a double bed with no escape from one another it's just not the same in my eyes and I'm over the comparison, I hate that I'm now comparing (because I was never like that before)

@outlander the impact on the lost of tourists, both through the times of bushfires, and now with covid would be heartbreaking for so many business owners Heart

Re: Topic Tuesday // Life After Bushfires // Tues 19th January, 7:00-8:30PM AEDT

We had to leave our community as we had no support and nowhere to stay as most of out friends places were destroyed.
We found covid meant we didn’t meet anyone not even our neighbours and we still have trouble meeting people after 9 mths. We felt isolated and forgotten because Covid overshadowed everything,
