@Daisydreamer  Well I guess common interests and goals, understanding, respect, tolerance, and, for want of a better word, forgiveness of mistakes.

That sounds like a really great start for the values you might look for in a community @CapnWannabe

Would you be comfortable to share with us what some of your interests and goals are? 🙂

3. In what ways does community provide connection and belonging? Do you have an example from your experience?

It makes you relevant. It makes what you do relevant. It means you are making a positive contribution to other peoples' lives. It gives your live value.

And the same dynamic works on the recieving end. You are surrounded by people who are relevant, and valuable to you. Your life is blessed with valuable and appreciated contributions from others.

I once thought I belonged to a community. I dedicated myself to making them happy and, for a time, I think I succeeded. I did some good on this earth. So that's something to be proud of.

Welcome @outlander and thanks for being here tonight 🙂 It sounds like you agree with what others have mentioned. Of what you have read so far, have there been any key quotes or ideas that have stood out to you?

Q.3  shared experiences, shared struggles. Just having space held for me to be whether it's physical or online or even just in an idea of space being there. Like here with SANE forums. There is space that is held and open for me day or night. Crisis, questioning or recovery. Just knowing there's a safe space for me to just be me, even if it's for a breathe in a day or a week gives me the strength to show the world my true face with all my colours showing without the mask to hide behind.  Oh and a space for laughter and Hugs
